By making this trip around the island, you
will find out that Kos "the island of Hippokrates (the
father of medicine)" is a many-side island, worth to
get known better.
You will not only make a tour from the northeastern up to
the island, you will also make a small journey through its
interesting history.
It all starts at Zia, a small lively mountain village, from
where you have a superb view. Being at arts and craft center
it has many small shops, some of them also selling the famous
local herbs and thyme honey. And don't forget to visit the
picturesque village-church.
After the village of Zia the next stop to our wander around
the island is the Wine factory. This is the place where you
can see how the marvelous grapes comes into wine, and taste
the various flavors of the local wine labels.
Kos is a "green" island, without water-problems,
due to her many small rivers and springs. One of those springs
you will visit at Pyli, located on the most fertile plain
of Kos. The inhabitants of this village, which is full of
lovely gardens, still hold on to there traditions-the legend
of the spring for example is famous!
Close to Kefalos, the most southwestern village of the island,
you will enjoy your lunch-break in the romantic bay of Kamari
with its long sandy beach and crystal clear water.
On the way back you pass by Antimachia, the village located
in the middle of the island, next to the airport, worth visiting
because of its 200 years old windmill and its "traditional
house".
The excursion starts aprox. at 09.00 am
And finish about 17.00 pm
